Solid bottom boards

Made from Canadian G1S fir plywood. Extended lip creates a 15/16" space under the bees for more winter airflow. Entrance reducer and landing board included. Painting required unless purchased with bees installed.

Screened bottom boards

Redesigned in 2025 for year-round use. The insert has reflective insulation on one side for winter and a white plastic sticky board for summer. Tops assemble with screws for easy painting or screen replacement. Painting required unless purchased with bees installed.

Polystyrene brood boxes

Beaver Plastics molded Langstroth brood boxes — superior insulation, light weight, and better overwintering than conventional wood. Drilled for a 1" vent/entrance with yellow plug. Boxes come unfinished.

Inside cover

Topped with 3/4" exterior Canadian plywood, insulated with 2" rigid HS40, trimmed in solid 1×5 pine. Oversized to allow a top entrance and keep bees warm through winter.
